Our background in dam breaks and the products we have developed are interlinked with tsunami and other rapid inundation models. We can assess these events, and use automation to help drive multiple models with increasing degrees of severity to understand incremental damages to urban centres. We've worked with emergency planners in the past, and we can help you understand who is at risk - and how you can safely evacuate them if the worst were to occur. We can also employ detailed loss models to determine the cost of catastrophic events, which is critical information for governments and insurers. |
Asset Portfolio Risk Analysis
The philosophy behind the portfolio risk assessments that we can undertake for dams and reservoirs can be scaled to almost any type of engineering or infrastructure asset. For example, the same logic could be applied to a portfolio of bridges, power stations, road embankments, drainage and distribution networks, factories transport systems, supply chain processes. This can help you understand your portfolio in a hollistic way, understand the weakest links and prioritise your capital expenditure plans. We can help you develop a bespoke asset portfolio assessment methodology if one does not already exist for your type of assets. |
Modelling and Predicting
Our existing knowledge of automation of both GIS and Python environments opens up various large data modelling and prediction opportunities for all types of data. We can build predictive models and calibrate these against known data, and this could relate to an entirely different type of industrial application beyond our main focus in Water. We can also build you scripts to apply in your analytical processes. |
Machine Learning and Neural Networks
Further to a big data analysis, modelling and prediction - we can undertake data prediction activities using machine learning concepts, including deep learning with artificial neural networks. We can undertake unsupervised clustering and supervised classification and regression models using Keras and Scikit-Learn within a Python Environment, and deliver pre-trained neural networks and models for your own analysis needs. |
Survey Specifications
If you intend to explore the possibilities on a new site, it is possible that you first would like topographical surveys undertaken. We can help you produce a meaningful survey specifications (e.g. LIDAR and UAV flights, Laser Scanning surveys, etc) to ensure that your future designers and modellers have the required data. |
